There comes a time in every true soccer fan's life when they have to take a stand and pick a team. Obviously, for something like the World Cup, where the teams represent countries, its pretty easy. You go with your motherland, and if they get knocked out, you go for the motherland of your mother (T&T baby!)...
But it gets harder as an American trying to pick a team for something like the European Cup or the Champions League. Do I go with a powerhouse like Manchester United or Real Madrid, or do I go more sophisticated with Liverpool or FC Barcelona? So many great teams. So many great players on each one. How do you choose?
But, I have decided to go with the classic, "used to be awesome but now sucks underdog that has nowhere to go but up and will thus make for a great year at some point" that is Leeds. Yes my friends, I am going to commit myself to being a Leeds fan. For those of you utterly uninterested in the greatest sport known to man that is soccer (or football is you live across the lake), you can stop reading cause I'm sure this post has bored you enough already. But for those of you who not only know what I'm talking about but also who I'm talking about (basically Burn or my brother if he even reads this), yes... Leeds. How about that?

Funny, I just started reading "Fever Pitch." Have you read it?
I was thinking about getting a bunch of tickets to go see the Galaxy (or shall I say Beckham?) this summer. Would you guys come?
Leeds?!? You are going to pick a team that is in the 3rd or 4th league in the UK! You are never going to be able to watch them play! You should have gone with Arsenal...they play the most beautiful football on the planet! However, I am glad that you made a selection. Now I hope that I can have someone to talk English soccer with...
